‘Frontier(s)’ director to helm supernatural thriller…
French filmmaker Xavier Gens (‘The Divide,’ ‘Hitman’) has been tapped to take the helm of ‘The Crucifixion,’ a “based on true events” thriller featuring a script by ‘The Conjuring’ scribes Chad and Carey Hayes.
The supernatural tale revolves around a priest who is jailed for the murder of a nun on whom he was performing an exorcism – leading to an investigative journalist striving to determine whether he in fact murdered a mentally ill person, or if he lost the battle with a demonic presence.
Peter Safran, who was behind ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘Annabelle,’ is on board to produce alongside Lotus Entertainment’s Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, DJ Gugenheim and Ara Keshishian.
