Snipes to lead crime drama remake…
Wesley Snipes, who recently returned to the big screen with ‘The Expendables 3,’ has closed a deal to star in a remake of the 1961 Johnny Cash-led crime-drama ‘Five Minutes to Live,’ according to Variety.
Starring Cash and Vic Tayback, the original film followed two thieves as they execute a terrifying bank robbery. One guy holds the bank manager’s wife hostage and the other tells the manager she’ll be killed in five minutes unless he transfers money to an account of their choosing.
Chuck Russell (‘The Mask,’ ‘Eraser,’ ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors’) is attached to direct, with the script coming from Raul Inglis (‘Transparency,’ ‘American Heist’).
