‘Optimus Prime is ready for battle. Are you?’ Paramount Pictures has revealed the official title for the next chapter of the ‘Transformers’ film franchise, TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT, hitting cinemas June 2017.
Mark Wahlberg is back, reprising his role of Cade Yeager, with Isabela Moner (‘100 Things to Do Before High School’) and comedian Jerrod Carmichael (‘Bad Neighbours 2’) also starring. Michael Bay returns to direct, while Art Marcum, Matt Holloway, and Ken Nolan are providing the script.
Production of THE LAST KNIGHT is set to begin next month in Detroit with other locations scheduled around the world. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy and Tom DeSanto are on board to produce the sequel with Hasbro.
TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT arrives in cinemas June 2017, with the sixth instalment of the franchise hitting the next year, June 2018. A seventh outing of the robots-in-disguise is pencilled in for June 2019.
