‘Community’ star Donald Glover, Martin Starr (‘Silicon Valley’), Logan Marshall Green (‘The Invitation’) and stand-up comedian turned actor Hannibal Buress (‘Daddy’s Home’) have all joined the cast of the Jon Watts-directed ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming.’
Starring Tom Holland (‘Captain America: Civil War,’ ‘In The Heart of the Sea’) as the web-slinging superhero, ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ focuses on Peter Parker’s struggles to balance his high school life with his vigilantism.
Holland is joined on the cast by the always great Michael Keaton as iconic Spider-Man villain, The Vulture, Marisa Tomei (‘The Wrestler,’ ‘Crazy, Stupid, Love.’) as Aunt May, actress-singer Zendaya as the female lead Michelle, Tony Revolori (‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’), and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark.
Other actors who have joined the cast over the last several weeks include Laura Harrier (‘4th Man Out’), Michael Barbieri (‘The Dark Tower’), and relative newcomers Isabella Amara (‘The Boss’), Jorge Lendeborg Jr. (‘The Land’) and J.J. Totah.
Principal photography is officially underway in Atlanta, Georgia with John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (‘Vacation,’ ‘Horrible Bosses’) providing the script.
