Rooney Mara (‘Trash,’ ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’) and Aussie star Ben Mendelsohn (‘The Place Beyond the Pines,’ ‘The Dark Knight Rises’) are set to co-star in ‘Blackbird,’ a feature adaptation of David Harrower’s acclaimed play of the same name.
Marking the feature debut of theatre director Benedict Andrews, the drama centres on “a confrontation between a man and a woman, estranged former lovers, who clash when the woman shows up unexpectedly at the man’s office.”
Theatre and film producer Jean Doumanian (‘August: Osage County’) and Patrick Daly are on board to produce, with filming scheduled for the summer in the UK.
