Mike Fleming over at Deadline has word that Chiwetel Ejiofor is set to join fellow Brits Benedict Cumberbatch and Tilda Swinton for Scott Derrickson’s ‘Doctor Strange.’
With Cumberbatch as the title character, the superhero flick centres on Stephen Strange, a former neurosurgeon who serves as the Sorcerer Supreme — the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats.
As previously revealed Swinton will be playing Strange’s mentor, a Tibetan mystic called The Ancient One.
‘12 Years A Slave’ star Ejiofor will take on the role of, Baron Mordo, an enemy of Doctor Strange who first appeared in the comic Strange Tales in 1963. The big screen take on Mordo isn’t expected to be the completely villainous character of the comics, rather an amalgamation of characters brought together from the Doctor Strange mythology.
