Will play a man with 24 personalities…
The folks over at THR have word that Leonardo DiCaprio will finally get to bring his long-in-development nonfiction drama ‘The Crowded Room’ to the big screen, with ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ actor set to produce and star.
DiCaprio has eyed the project for the best part of two decades — that of Billy Milligan, who was the first person to successfully use multiple personality disorder as a defence in a court of law.
‘The Crowded Room’ is based off Daniel Keyes’ nonfiction book of the same that chronicles Milligan’s story, including his court trial in the late 1970s in Ohio after being charged with robbery and raping three women on the Ohio State University campus.
Jason Smilovic (‘Lucky Number Slevin’) and Todd Katzberg are on board to adapt the script. DiCaprio will produce through his Appian Way banner alongside New Regency
