Revenge thriller will shoot early next year…
Jamie Foxx (‘Horrible Bosses 2’) and Benicio Del Toro (‘Guardians of the Galaxy’) are reportedly star to co-star in ‘The Trap,’ a Southern revenge thriller that has ‘Spring Breakers’ helmer Harmony Korine behind the camera.
Per THR, the plot centres on “two childhood friends now in their mid-to-late 30s — one of whom is very successful and the other has spent the majority of his adult life in jail. On the eve of a big recognition for the successful man, the other is released from jail and determined to get even.”
Charles-Marie Anthonioz, who previously collaborated with Korine on ‘Spring Breakers,’ will co-produce the thriller with John Lesher’s Le Grisbi Productions.
Foxx will next be seen in the comedy sequel ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ when it opens in Irish cinemas November 28th, followed by the ‘Annie’ remake on December 26th. Del Toro, who recently graced the silver screen with ‘Guardians of the Galaxy,’ will next appear in Paul Thomas Anderson’s ‘Inherent Vice,’ which hits cinemas January 30th.
