Zach Braff in director’s chair…
Variety brings word that the awesomely talented trio of Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and Alan Arkin are set to take the leads in ‘Going In Style,’ New Line’s forthcoming remake of the 1979 caper comedy.
Based on a script by Ted Melfi, the new take on the comedy follows “three retired men who lose their pensions when the company they’ve worked for their entire lives is sold to a foreign corporation. Desperate for money to survive, they set out to try to rob the very bank that’s withholding their money.”
The original, directed by Martin Brest, starred George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg.
Filming on the new film is expected to get underway in August in New York City with Zach Braff directing.
