Lizzy Caplan and Jay Chou also join…
Lionsgate/Summit Entertainment has officially confirmed the lead cast for their sequel to Louis Leterrier‘s 2013 magic heist hit ‘Now You See Me.’
Returning for the upcoming sequel are Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Woody Harrelson and Dave Franco, along with Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine.
Joining the Horsemen for some magical hijinks are the previously rumoured Daniel Radcliffe (‘Horns’) and Lizzy Caplan (‘The Interview,’ ‘Master of Sex’), and Taiwanese singer-songwriter-turned-actor Jay Chou (‘The Green Hornet’). Caplan will play the female lead, replacing Isla Fisher, who dropped out because she is pregnant.
“One year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their mind-bending spectacles, the Four Horsemen resurface in ‘NOW YOU SEE ME 2’ only to find themselves face to face with a new enemy who enlists them to pull off their most dangerous heist yet.”
Jon M. Chu (‘G.I. Joe: Retaliation’) is in the director’s chair, with the script coming from The Pete Chiarelli and Ed Solomon.
