Cillian Murphy has joined the ensemble cast of Christopher Nolan’s WWII action thriller ‘Dunkirk,’ says TheWrap.
‘Dunkirk’ tells the story of the legendary evacuation of the northern French city, which took place at the beginning of World War II. Nolan will begin principal photography next month at many of the locations where the true-life events actually took place.
The ensemble cast also includes Mark Rylance (‘Bridge of Spies,’ ‘The BFG’), Kenneth Branagh (‘Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit,’ ‘My Week with Marilyn’), Tom Hardy (‘The Dark Knight Rises,’ ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’), newcomer Fionn Whitehead (‘Him’), Jack Lowden (‘71’), Aneurin Barnard (‘Citadel’), along with One Director singer Harry Styles.
‘Dunkirk’ marks the latest collaboration for Murphy and Nolan, having previously worked together on ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy’ and ‘Inception.’
