Sports Illustrated model Kelly Rohrbach and Alexandra Daddario have scored the coveted female leads opposite Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in director Seth Gordon’s big screen reboot of ‘Baywatch.’
Rohrbach will play C. J. Parker, the role made famous by Pamela Anderson, while Daddario, who co-starred with Johnson in ‘San Andreas,’ will take on the role of Summer Quinn (originated by Nicole Eggert in the cheesy 90s lifeguard soap).
Plot details for the big screen outing are under wraps, but according to reports the film is said to be akin to the tone of Phil Lord and Christopher Miller’s ‘21 Jump Street’ films. Gordon (‘Horrible Bosses,’ ‘Sneaky Pete’ ‘King of Kong’) is directing from a screenplay most recently written by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift.
Johnson confirmed Rohrbach’s involvement via Instagram, posting three videos of him and Rohrbach poking fun at the original TV show’s trademark slow-motion running scenes.
