Living in Bolivia, Butch Cassidy has changed his name to James Blackthorn and eeks out his days as a rancher. But when he is bushwacked by a young thief (Eduardo Noriega), he is forced to return to his former life. Re-imagining the last days of the Western outlaw’s life, Mateo Gil’s engrossing drama is bolstered by Sam Shepard’s performance. "Ondine" is the enchanting story of Syracuse, a lonely fisherman who one day pulls a beautiful woman named Ondine out of the sea in his nets. His young daughter Annie is convinced that she is a "selkie" -- a creature from Irish folklore much like a mermaid. Syracuse has his doubts, but as Ondine brings some luck and joy to his otherwise downcast life, he starts to come around as well. "Ondine" deftly blends romance and fantasy with the realism of modern life in an Irish seaside town.

Stuart Gordon creates a provocative, over-the-top experience in "Stuck," a tabloid-tinged thriller inspired by true events. Brandi is a compassionate young retirement-home caregiver in-line for a promotion. Tom is a victim of the downsized economy, out of work and newly homeless. Their worlds collide when Brandi, driving home from a club after too many drinks and pills, accidentally hits Tom, the impact smashing his body head-first through her car's windshield. If discovered, this "accident" will extinguish her bright future, so instead of saving him, her plan is to let him pass and dispose of the body later. Faced with this reality, Tom knows he must escape if he wants to survive.

Worst of all the Cup Final is scheduled to take place on the same day and when England makes it through the qualifying rounds, Bernie's longed-for Bar Mitzvah looks set to be a complete disaster.
