The 3D aspect ultimately is just weak gimmick, but If it means you get to watch "Nightmare" on the Big screen again, or for the first time, I say Yay!
i seen fly me to the moon in 3d with family the weekend. it was cool. id say this would be even better
Brilliant story, I think we can all relate to, being sick of the same old thing and wanting to try something new and exciting. Finding your place in the world. Beautiful animation, without being CGI. Curious and quirky characters that are upmost enjoyable. The 3-D had some blurry parts, but there were some fantastic scenes where 3-D worked in an amazing way, emphasising some minor detail previously missed in 2-D. Superb overall! <3
Its Nightmare Before Christmas so straight off it gets the five stars, the 3D just didn't seem to work for me. But that is not going to stop anyone from enjoying this classic of a movie.
really enjoyed it. Soundtrack was absolutely fab and great characters.
Wanted to like this but just couldn't. Thought the 3D would bring something new to it but it didn't. Was very disappointed by the 3D to be honest and is probably the main contributer to my harsh rating. Let down overall
Great movie... the 3D was good, but it got a bit blurred from time to time..
I loved the movie, but I dont know if it was just me but the 3D just didnt work well, I think the last scene was the best part of the 3D. The film is a 10/10 but only 5/10 for the 3D.(Maybe my view is a bit biased but having recently been to Disneyland Florida and after watching films like Shrek3D and Terminator 3D I was expexting a bit more :(
I loved it, such a classic. Beats all modern day animations, great to see it revitalised. The layering and texturing of the 3D world takes it to another level. I don't think I can watch the original again after seeing the 3d version.
I've always loved this movie. Great to finally see it on the big screen. While it wasn't originally shot for 3D it works really well and the more general release it's getting, it means I should be able to catch it a second time without having to trek out to Dundrum. This movie is a must for all fams of Burton or for anybody who still has a little bit of a kid in them, not your typical Christmas movie but just as uplifting and with a fantastic score from Elfman, this is probably one of the best animated movies ever, This is helloween, this is helloween :)
I was unfortunately quite disappointed in the 3d part of the film. There were maybe 2 parts that were visibly 3d...the films its-self is as classic as it always has been, so in reality it should get 5 stars, but due to the fact that this one is about the 3d element it looses a star. Still, highly recommended!
Took my 2 yr old to see this in 3D in Dundrum (thanks Movies.ie). He loved it and sat through the entire movie. He even said goodbye to Jack and Sally at the end of the movie....it was amazing in 3D...Thanks!
Amazing is all i can say. If you weren't lucky enough to win tickets for the premier get to the cinema this week and see it. Flawless from start to finish. Not to be missed
A great way to get you in the mood for Christmas. A well scripted, well animated and beautifully designed master piece of Christmas story telling with a heavy mix of Halloween. However the 3D element did leave me with a slight pain in my head. Maybe due to the fact that it wasn't initially created with 3D vision in mind... A definite this christmas if you missed it last year or back in 1993 on its first release
Not even nearly as good as the original film. The story i still great, as are the lyrics and music and all and the 3D style is also enjoyable. It's all enjoyable but as I mentioned it's nothing compared to the original film with Tim Burton and Johnny Depp.
