Music video director and screenwriter Brian Ward (‘Death Defying Acts,’ ‘The Interpreter’) has cast Kevin McKidd (‘Brave,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy’) and Ashley Jensen (‘The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!’ ‘Hysteria’) as the leads in feature directorial debut, ‘Indian Summer.’

Set in a remote farm in the Scottish Highlands in the summer of 1967, the film is a described as “a bittersweet romance about love, life and identity.” It’s the story of an orphaned boy, his embittered uncle, and beautiful but lonely aunt, whose lives are changed forever by the arrival of an exotic stranger, who is not only a U.S. Marine, but a Native American Indian.

Production on the $4 million feature will get underway next May with Iain Brown producing and Mike Kelt and Joanna Dewar Gibb on board as executive producers..
